About the team · how we check facts

A team of China
travel specialists.

Bring your China trip as it is: a few ideas, a booking, a question or a full plan. We help you see what is worth keeping, what could work better, and what you might otherwise miss.

How we check facts.

We check the details that can change what you do: entry rules, payments, phone and internet access, trains, attraction booking windows and public holidays.

Latest recorded check · not a live status

3 source pages could not be read completely; 3 source changes need review. Unread sources keep their previous verification dates.

Check the rule that affects your trip

Government and service-provider pages for entry, payment, connectivity and transport. We keep the source and the date of the particular material checked.

Go to the people responsible

For an event, place or offer, we read the operator’s own current announcement. Other reporting leads us to the original source; unresolved action-changing claims need independent corroboration.

Keep experience in its proper context

Traveller reports show what happened to that traveller. They help us understand practical friction; they do not establish official permission.

Recommend for your limited days

We explain who an experience suits, why it is worth the time and what booking, language or access conditions matter. Popularity alone is not a recommendation.

A rhythm that matches the information

What gets checked, and when.

Core rules · daily

Compare registered sources with recorded versions. Readable changes go to review; failed checks receive no new date.

Events · daily

Filter ended events and review items due, cancellations and changes to the actual session.

Perks · weekly, and when terms change

Review eligibility, expiry and redemption. Expired or unusable offers leave the current collection.

Places & experiences · when due or changed

Review the information likely to change. Seasonal windows and dated sessions are maintained separately.

Practical answers · source changes + monthly sampling

Update the source and the answer together. Retain the previous version for traceability.

From inside China · daily probe

Tests page reachability and returned content. It does not log in to apps, pay, book or test your phone.

How we work

The details matter when
they are your details.

A good recommendation depends on who is travelling, when you are going and what you already have arranged. Our team maintains the research and editorial standards behind MyChinaTrip.

Research, judgment and your trip.

AI helps turn our maintained material and the information you share into an answer for your trip. Answers are AI-generated; they are not individually reviewed by a human travel specialist before delivery.

Our responsibility is to improve the evidence, the judgment and the experience around those answers, and to correct errors when we find them.

When something changes

Update the fact. Explain the next step.

We establish what changed, when it applies and who is affected, then update the relevant content. Material changes matched to a saved trip may become Watch alerts with a source and a useful next step.

Watch covers supported booking reminders, weather and published changes from purchase until the traveller flies home. It does not continuously monitor every venue or booking provider.

Independent editorial judgment

We do not accept paid recommendations.

A provider cannot pay for a ranking or a place in our recommendations. If a link earns a commission or involves a commercial relationship, we disclose it beside that content.

MyChinaTrip is an independent travel service. Citing an authority or provider does not imply representation or endorsement.
