Editorial standards
Our job is to help you make better decisions for this trip. That includes recognising what is already good, explaining useful trade-offs and finding possibilities that fit your interests.
Recommendations are our judgment. We explain why a choice fits the trip, using the dates, places, preferences and arrangements available to us. A recommendation is not an official rule, a confirmed booking or a promise that everyone will have the same experience.
Facts need sources and dates. We identify the evidence behind factual guidance and when it was checked. We distinguish an authority's rule, a provider's terms, a traveller's experience and our own interpretation. A source must support the particular claim being made; a general homepage cannot confirm a specific closure or event.
We do not sell rankings or placement in recommendations. A provider cannot pay to be recommended above a better fit for your trip. If a link earns us a commission or content involves a commercial relationship, that relationship should be disclosed beside the relevant content.
Perks name the provider. Each offer should explain who provides it, who qualifies, where and when it applies, and how to use it. Inclusion is not a guarantee of availability or a recommendation to spend more. The provider's applicable terms govern the offer.
AI supports the service; we remain responsible for our editorial work. AI-generated answers can make mistakes. We do not describe them as individually human-reviewed. Uncertainty should lead to a useful next step or a clear choice, rather than a page of warnings.
We correct errors. We review reports against the relevant evidence, correct affected content and keep a record of material changes. Where a correction changes what a traveller should do, the explanation should say what changed and what to do next. Changes relevant to a saved trip can be assessed for Watch; not every spelling fix calls for an email.
