Trains & transport

No: payment or a reservation request does not mean your train ticket has been issued. Open the order and look for the final train, date and passenger ticket details before treating the journey as confirmed.

Set it up at home

01
Open the actual train order, not just the payment email.

Read its current status and identify whether it is waiting for sales to open, attempting issuance, waitlisted, issued or cancelled. Save the order number so customer service can find the same request.

02
Check whether the travel date is already inside the railway’s sale window.

If not, keep the reservation separate from confirmed arrangements. Note the expected release date and prepare another departure that would also fit your route.

03
If sales have opened, inspect any alternative trains or seat classes you authorised.

Decide whether those alternatives still work for your hotel arrival, connection and companions. Remove an unsuitable alternative through the order’s supported settings rather than hoping it will not be selected.
