Wulong's Three Natural Bridges and Fairy Mountain

Walk beneath enormous natural stone bridges and into a valley that feels far removed from the city.

Getting there and back: Tour coach from specified meeting points in central Chongqing. The product lists about 3 hours driving outbound. Meeting is at 07:00; pickup notification may specify 07:00–07:30. The coach drops off near Hongyadong (洪崖洞) or Zengjiayan (曾家岩); arrange your own hotel transfer. The listed return drive is about 3 hours. Indicative city drop-off is 20:30, not a public last-service time.

Time and walking: A full long day, 07:00–20:30. Three Natural Bridges: 2.5 hours; Fairy Mountain: 1 hour. Tianfu Official Post is inside the area and should not be added again. Visitors report roughly 3–4 kilometres or 2–4 hours depending on the route; these are not a uniform measurement. Reports describe more than 300 descending steps after the lift; an optional paid vehicle at the exit can reduce uphill walking. Coach, lift and scenic transport offer seated sections, but the visit still involves walking.

Tickets and timing: The product requests full name, contact details and valid ID; passports are accepted. The reviewed Chinese-language tour starts at TWD 1609 per person, including admission and main scenic transport; the Three Bridges electric cart at CNY 15 and small train at CNY 25 are examples of extras. One November rain/fog visit had limited views; this does not mean every November visit is poor.

Who it suits: Suits travellers willing to devote a day to karst gorges and accept long drives and stairs. Less suitable if transfers are tiring, two roughly 3-hour drives are unacceptable, or descending stairs is difficult. English reception does not mean an English-language tour; a lift does not eliminate walking. Visitors find the giant natural bridges and gorge-floor scenery different enough to justify leaving the city.

  2. Ask the seller to confirm the hotel pickup, return, included tickets and walking route.
