Getting there and back: Private car from Kunming hotels within the Third Ring Road to the Stone Forest, then Jiuxiang. About 1.5 hours to the Stone Forest, then another 1 hour to Jiuxiang. Indicative pickup is 08:00. Private car from Jiuxiang back to your Kunming hotel. The return drive is about 1.5 hours. Indicative Kunming return is 18:00.
Time and walking: The selected package runs 08:00–18:00; other 15-hour versions on the page are different. Stone Forest's main area and Ashima are listed at 1 hour each; Jiuxiang's main cave section is 2 hours, plus boat/cable-car sections. Do not add nested sub-stops twice. Walking around both sights and through caves; one visitor found so much to see that they did not finish everything. Car, cave boat and cable car offer seated sections, but cave walking remains; the selected product excludes wheelchairs.

Who it suits: Suits a full day combining two kinds of karst scenery. Less suitable if you want to photograph every Stone Forest corner slowly or return early in the afternoon. An English product label can differ from a Chinese-speaking driver with a translation device. Without on-site explanation you may miss context; reviews mention tea-shop visits, so zero shopping stops cannot be promised. Visitors enjoy the contrast of caves, underground river and waterfalls after the Stone Forest. Fuxian Lake, Chengjiang fossils and lakeside villages: Both are full multi-stop days: Stone Forest/Jiuxiang runs 08:00–18:00, focusing on underground landscapes; Fuxian Lake runs 07:30–18:40, with lake views and fossils. Both involve walking.
