Beijiushui: shaded paths and mountain streams

Spend the day among trees, pools and streams on Laoshan's inland side.

Getting there and back: Take the Blue Valley express/Metro Line 11 to Beijiushui Exit B (北九水站B口), then scenic transport from Jiushui Transfer Centre. The 2026 operator describes this northern entry, not Dahedong's southern route. Line 11 returns from Beijiushui towards Miaoling Road; the current last shuttle between the scenic area and station was not established.

Time and walking: A 2021 visitor suggests 4–5 hours for Beijiushui including buses to/from that area, plus city travel between your Qingdao hotel and Beijiushui Station. Allow a full day; another 8-hour exterior-view charter is not this independent hike. The same 4–5-hour report includes shuttle buses and does not isolate walking/on-site time; do not add shuttle time again. Visitors describe moderate walking along streams and shade, with rest points. Forks have different gradients; this is not a slope-free route.

Tickets and timing: The operator explicitly requires online real-name reservations; passport-specific fields/entry validation were not established. The notice handles changes/refunds against the original reserved entry slot. Enter in your chosen slot; specific available slots were not established here. Reservations open 7 days ahead through the Laoshan Scenic Area (崂山风景区) or Qingdao Laoshan Scenic Area (青岛崂山风景名胜区) WeChat accounts and listed OTAs. The operator states daily limits for each area; bookings stop at capacity. This does not establish a sellout on your date. The 2026 notice gives September 1–November 30 hours of 07:00–17:30, and December 07:30–17:00. These are attraction hours, not last shuttle/Metro times.

Who it suits: Suits a separate northern-route day for shaded stream-valley walking. Less suitable if you expect the Yangkou/Taiqing southern shuttles to work here or require an entirely seated visit. Product 80527640 appears to offer multilingual guiding, but its text describes a driver using translation software, admission excluded and Beijiushui exterior viewing. It is not a complete hiking tour. Streams and shade provide a mountain experience different from the southern route's sea views and Taoist temples.
