Laoshan's Yangkou and Taiqing: mountains meet the sea

Follow coastal mountain paths and Taoist sites for a very different day from Qingdao's city waterfront.

Getting there and back: Pickup in Qingdao's Shinan/Shibei districts by minibus, including scenic transport. This shared tour picks up at 07:30; 09:00 belongs to another private tour. Minibus return to specified Shilaoren/May Fourth Square points, not every hotel. Indicative finishes: 16:20 Shilaoren, 16:40 May Fourth Square; hotel transfer follows separately.

Time and walking: Shared-tour window: 07:30–16:40, excluding the final hotel transfer. Listed segments: Yangkou 2 hours, Taiqing 1.5 hours, beach 0.5 hours. The overall scenic-area 5-hour item overlaps and is not added again. Mountain paths/trails require walking; praise for scenery does not make this a car-only visit. Scenic transport is included; return cable car costs CNY 70 extra and still leaves mountain-path walking.

Tickets and timing: At reading, Package H started at US$57.02 per person; cable car CNY 70 and Taiqing boat CNY 150 cost extra. This is not standalone scenic admission.

Who it suits: Suits sea-meets-mountain scenery and Taoist buildings, with an ability to manage trails and a Chinese-language tour. Choose another version for all-English guiding, slow fishing-village seafood meals or easy flat walking. A 3.3/5 score has only 4 reviews. An August 2026 visitor described the fishing village as a distant view, boat excluded and poor meals. English means online support; these guide version choice, not a verdict on Laoshan itself. Mountain/sea trails and Taiqing culture offer a clear contrast with central Qingdao's seaside streets.
