Italian Philharmonic Orchestra New Year Concert

Choose a celebratory programme that moves quickly between orchestral music, singing and violin features. The Italian Philharmonic Orchestra’s announced selections include The Moldau, Carmen and Turandot excerpts, The Phantom of the Opera, Butterfly Lovers and Italian songs. The variety is the point: this suits companions who enjoy recognisable tunes and changing performers more than a single extended symphony. Give it an evening of its own, with dinner beforehand so the musical mixture remains the main event.
