Full programme conditions

Choose Shanghai Museum East for the free permanent collection. Individual visitors can enter with the original valid identity document at the B1 East Gate, without a general reservation. It opens 10:00–18:00, with last entry at 17:00, and closes Tuesdays except statutory holidays. Curio-City and the Digital Gallery need separate reservations; ticketed special exhibitions have separate purchase rules. The People’s Square building hosts the ticketed Ancient Civilizations of the Americas exhibition from 9 July 2026 to 14 November 2027. Published concessions include up to two children aged six or under accompanying one adult free, and free entry for visitors with accepted disability documentation. Eligible free-entry visitors present original documents for on-site verification; check which proof the museum accepts. Overseas visitors can buy paid tickets through Trip.com. Bring your original passport and follow the museum’s current entry instructions.
