Trip.com says “Reservation Submitted”
A reservation request is not evidence that your train ticket has been issued. Trip.com’s current reservation process attempts booking when sales open.
- Open the reservation or confirmation you already have. Separate a request/payment notice from a ticket-issuance confirmation.
- Check the traveller, travel date and train in that confirmation; if issuance is unclear, ask Trip.com support to establish it.
- Compare your departure date with the normal 15-day sales window; check the actual train’s release time before deciding waiting is a failure.
Has the ticket actually been issued?
- For a railway e-ticket, travel with the original valid identity document used for purchase; a printed itinerary alone is not a ticket.
- Check the departure station and passenger details against the trip you intend to take.
- Trip.com accepts advance reservations and attempts booking when tickets go on sale.
A reservation alone does not secure a seat.
- Choose a personal decision time early enough to arrange another departure; this is your planning choice, not a railway deadline.
- The current Trip.com reservation page says an unissued reservation is automatically cancelled two hours before departure.
This is Trip.com’s reservation rule, not a railway rule or a guarantee for every product.
- Ask Trip.com to confirm issuance, the cancellation status and your available alternatives now.
Do not wait for the automatic cutoff if it leaves too little time to travel.
If that does not resolve it
- Issuance remains unclear. Ask Trip.com support to establish whether there is an issued ticket and whether a pending request can be cancelled.
- You need a different departure. Compare available trains and dates before purchasing. Check what happens to the original reservation; do not assume two paid orders can both be refunded free.
- Online booking is not workable. Ask a railway ticket counter about a new ticket using your valid passport. This does not promise the counter can repair Trip.com’s pending request.
- No train option fits. Consider changing the travel date. A bus or flight requires a separate route-specific availability and policy check; no service is promised here.
