Chongqing in four days

River lights, trains through buildings, hotpot inside a hillside, and a day out among Wulong’s giant stone bridges.

Why this itinerary works

Chongqing is best at night and on foot, so evenings and short walks carry the city days.

One day goes out of town to Wulong: a break from the city and the region’s most striking landscape.

Eat hotpot here once, properly, in the old air-raid shelter.

3 nights · Jiefangbei, near a metro entrance

A practical base for riverfront nights; choose road-level vehicle access to avoid hauling bags up steps.
