Furong: stay for the waterfall after dark

Arrive in the afternoon, explore the lanes and watch the waterfall town light up before heading back.

Getting there and back: Pickup/meeting in Yongding's urban area, using car or train options; Zhangjiajie West Station/Wulingyuan hotels are outside free transfers. The reviewed vehicle timeline gives about 1.5 hours, not a station-to-station train duration. This version leaves the city at 14:00. Return within the same Yongding area; Wulingyuan hotel return is not automatic. The page gives an indicative 20:00 Zhangjiajie return, not a last train.

Time and walking: Reference window: 14:00–20:00, about 6 hours from afternoon to evening. Main town 1 hour, Baishou Hall/bronze pillar 15 minutes each, waterfall 20 minutes. Place names overlap, so do not mechanically sum them. Walk through the waterfall town for daytime/night views; tour groups are present in the evening too.

Tickets and timing: At reading, the Furong-only ten-person group started at US$68.28 per person including admission; this is not a future-date locked price.

Who it suits: Suits waterfall-town scenery as a change from mountain parks, without changing hotels. The 14:00–20:00 window applies to Yongding. Wulingyuan adds a transfer. Other two-town text on the page is excluded; this package is Furong only. Afternoon waterfall/lane views followed by lights and a return to base make a more concentrated outing than squeezing two towns into a day. Both are roughly half-day bands at different times: Furong 14:00–20:00 for waterfall/night views; Grand Canyon about 08:00–13:30 for glass bridge/river valley. Choose by interest and confirm hotel-transfer coverage.
